Important Announcement for ISL Clubs

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has formally requested that clubs participating in the Indian Super League (ISL) confirm their home match venues by Monday noon. This request is critical as the AIFF plans to finalize the schedule for the delayed season, which is set to commence on February 14.

Sports Minister’s Statement

On Tuesday, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya confirmed that the ISL would resume after a pause due to the absence of a commercial partner. All 14 clubs will be participating in this season.

Match Schedule and Structure

The upcoming ISL season will feature 91 matches played on a home-and-away basis, contingent on full participation from all clubs.

Communication from AIFF to Clubs

In a recent letter sent to the clubs, the AIFF expressed gratitude for their commitment to participate in the ISL. The federation emphasized its intention to collaborate with the clubs for the organization of the 2025-26 season, and highlighted key requests regarding venue confirmation.

Financial Overview for the Upcoming Season

The AIFF has proposed a financial budget of INR 24,26,74,000 (~24.26 crore) for the 2025-26 ISL season. This budget includes an initial contribution of INR 9.77 crore from the AIFF and INR 1 crore from each participating club.

Participation Fee Details

To facilitate participation, the AIFF has stated that it will accept the participation fee per club in installments until June 2026, should clubs be unable to pay immediately.
