The episode shot on âKaun Banega Crorepati,’ celebrating Big B’s birthday, will see guests Javed Akhtar and his renowned son, Farhan Akhtar. While the episode has not been telecast, the promo clip went viral for the special shout-out to the ultimate collaboration of the 1970s. Bachchan recited the dialogue of âZanjeerâ in front of the audience, prompting a loud cheer and applause.
âJab tak baithne ko naa kaha jaaye, sharafat se khade raho. Yeh police thaana hai, tumhare baap ka ghar nahi (Stand up till youâre not asked to sit. This is a police station, not your fatherâs house),â he said, as the Akhtars sat on the hot seats. As he delivered the iconic line, they were astonished by his flair. Meanwhile, Bachchan cut a delicious cake with the guests, as shared in the clip of the upcoming episode. The episode will be aired on October 10, 2025, at 9 p.m.
About ‘Zanjeer’
Released in 1973, âZanjeerâ is a film directed by Prakash Mehra, and the screenplay is penned by the prominent duo, Salim-Javed (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar). Along with Amitabh Bachchan, the film stars Jaya Bachchan (nĂ©e Bhaduri), Pran, Ajit Khan, Iftekhar, Om Prakash, and Bindu. Introducing Bachchanâs version of âangry young man,â the film revolves around a police man who has been suspended from his duties, and has decided to find the people who murdered his parents. After the massive success that followed the release, Salim-Javed subsequently worked with Amitabh Bachchan in âDeewaar,â âSholay,â âTrishul,â and âDon.â
