‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, featuring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, experienced a significant decline in box office collections on its second day. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film grossed approximately Rs 5 crore net on Friday, following an average opening of Rs 7.75 crore on Thursday. Despite its holiday release during the Christmas festival, the film’s numbers fell short of expectations.
Total Box Office Collection So Far
With the addition of Day 2 figures, the film’s total box office collection now stands at approximately Rs 12.75 crore. The all-India gross has reached an estimated Rs 15 crore, with an additional Rs 2 crore from overseas markets, bringing the worldwide total to approximately Rs 17.25 crore.
Competition: ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’
The downturn in earnings is primarily due to intense competition from major releases like Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’, which collected around Rs 15 crore on the same day, and James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, which earned approximately Rs 7.5 crore. ‘Dhurandhar’ continues to perform strongly in the Hindi sector, while ‘Avatar’ is leading in the English market.
Theatre Occupancy Rates
‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ recorded an overall occupancy rate of 19.92%, indicating limited foot traffic in theatres. Although the figures are on the lower side, the film is still managing to hold some presence at the box office.
Kartik Aaryan’s Chart-Topping Films
For Kartik Aaryan, the film needs to surpass Rs 32.02 crore to outpace ‘Shehzada’ and secure a spot among his top 10 highest-grossing films. Currently, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ leads with a remarkable total of Rs 260.11 crore. While a low opening was anticipated, it was expected that the film would perform similarly to other releases. Notably, the actor has only achieved double-digit openings with franchise hits like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
Looking Ahead: Weekend Prospects
As the weekend approaches, all eyes are on the box office to see if the film can regain momentum and improve its collection performance on Saturday and Sunday.
