We’re seeking a full-time, remote Content Marketing Manager for our company.
About Baymard Institute
Baymard Institute conducts large-scale UX research studies, sharing our findings through a bespoke B2B SaaS platform. Serving over 2,000 retailers, brands, and agencies across 80+ countries — including 71% of Fortune 500 ecommerce companies — our fully distributed team of ~60 members spans America and Europe, all dedicated to advancing ecommerce UX.
About The Role
As Baymard’s Content Marketing Manager, you’ll own the stories that connect our research, tools, and product roadmap to the users who depend on them. Your primary focus will be on turning complex UX and product insights into clear, compelling narratives that drive qualified demand, product activation, and long-term trust.
You’ll plan and produce a variety of content formats including long-form articles, landing pages, emails, and thought leadership pieces, with SEO as a core distribution lever. Collaborating closely with Growth, Product, and Research teams, you will help shape our editorial strategy and ensure that every piece serves a specific purpose in the funnel.
This role is ideal for those who are just as comfortable diving into product behavior and user journeys as they are crafting compelling headlines. You’ll balance search strategy, storytelling, and product understanding to create content that resonates and ranks.
Who You Are
You are an exceptional copywriter and storyteller, skilled at making complex topics feel accessible and actionable without resorting to generic SaaS jargon.
With hands-on experience in a SaaS environment, especially in a product-led or self-serve context, you naturally think in terms of user value, time-to-value, and feature adoption. Your writing not only fills a content calendar; it helps users comprehend the product’s value and how to leverage it effectively.
You possess a solid understanding of SEO fundamentals — including search intent, topic clusters, internal linking, and on-page structure — and understand that it’s more than just a checklist. Collaboration with growth and product teams is second nature to you, and you continually respond to data-driven insights to refine your strategy.
You may also enjoy experimenting with new formats, such as video and short-form social content, while considering how one core story can be adapted across multiple channels — from the blog to product tools to lifecycle emails.
What You’ll Need
3+ years of experience in content marketing or copywriting for B2B SaaS (ideally in a product-led or self-serve context).
Demonstrated ability to translate complex products or research into clear, engaging narratives.
Strong understanding of SEO basics (search intent, keyword research, content structure, internal linking) and the compounding effects of content.
Experience creating content throughout the funnel: from educational and problem-focused pieces to product and conversion-focused assets.
Proven ability to collaborate with Product, Growth/Marketing, and Sales to create content that fulfills user and business needs.
Competence in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, search tools) to inform topics and measure performance.
Fully proficient in written and spoken English.
Nice-To-Haves
Experience with digital PR or earning coverage/backlinks through research or content.
Comfortable with video storyboarding for various formats (e.g., product explainers, educational videos).
Experience creating short-form content for social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X) based on core long-form pieces.
Familiarity with email and lifecycle communications including onboarding flows and product education.
A background in ecommerce, UX research, or related product-led domains.
