Overview of the Position

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a solid understanding and hands-on experience in test case automation and scripting, specifically for web applications and microservices/API testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implementation: Contribute to the design, coding, and refinement of the automation testing framework.
• Automation Practices: Apply robust computer science principles to automate core API and web functionality tests across various platforms.
• System Analysis: Analyze and test B2B information systems and multi-tier distributed applications using technologies such as Java and Angular.
• Database Validation: Validate applications end-to-end (E2E) with various database systems, including MySQL, MS SQL Server, and Elasticsearch.
• Issue Management: Assume full ownership of issues from start to finish.
• Functional Testing: Execute test scripting and functional tests as required.
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance, load, and security testing.
• Agile Collaboration: Collaborate with the Agile Scrum team to meet all acceptance criteria.

Qualifications for Success

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on coding experience in Java.
• Framework Contribution: Actively contribute to the creation and refinement of automation testing frameworks.
• Testing Tools: Proficiency in Cucumber or similar testing tools.
• Technical Skills: Strong experience in analyzing and testing B2B information systems and microservice-based applications.
• Database Proficiency: Experience validating applications across different database systems.
• Ownership of Issues: Ability to take full ownership of issues from inception to resolution.
• Testing Expertise: Capability to perform test scripting and functional test executions, including performance, load, and security testing.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
