Bollywood’s extravagant birthday bashes often ignite curiosity about the lavish gifts stars might receive. However, producer Ektaa Kapoor recently offered a reality check that dispels these misconceptions. Contrary to popular belief, she emphasized that these assumptions about gift-giving at such events are often exaggerated.
What Do Stars Like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan Really Receive?
Stars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are known for hosting lavish birthday parties for their close friends in the industry. A common question arises: what gifts do these towering figures actually receive? Ektaa shared her insights during a conversation with MK Talks, revealing, “People don’t usually carry gifts to birthdays, especially for big names like Salman or Shah Rukh Khan. What would you even take to their birthdays?”
The Truth About Celebrity Celebrations
Ektaa went further to explain her own relationship with birthday celebrations, stating, “I actually don’t attend many birthdays. On my own birthday, I go to Tirupati and don’t invite anyone. If you ask normally what one gives at a big person’s birthday, I’ve mostly seen that people only offer blessings.”
Debunking the Glamorous Myths of Bollywood
Breaking the stereotype of extravagant Bollywood parties, Ektaa elaborated, “This impression about the film industry, that expensive gifts are exchanged, people drink heavily, and party all the time, is not true.” She expressed that the industry is surprisingly subdued, remarking, “You won’t find a more boring industry than this.” Many stars, according to her, maintain disciplined routines, prioritizing health over late-night indulgences.
Ektaa Kapoor’s Upcoming Project
On the work front, Ektaa’s much-anticipated film Bhooth Bangla is expected to hit theaters on April 17. This horror-comedy features Akshay Kumar in the lead role, alongside a talented ensemble that includes Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
