Subhala Suresh’s Involvement
Subhala Suresh is the latest individual to plead guilty, facing a maximum penalty of three years in prison along with restitution and monetary penalties. She admitted to causing a tax loss to the United States estimated between $250,000 and $550,000.
Mathews Chacko’s Role
Similar to Suresh, Chacko utilized false business expenses to misrepresent his clients’ financial situations. At times, they submitted these false claims without clients’ knowledge, while on other occasions they informed clients about the deceit. Chacko admitted to causing a tax loss between $3.5 million and $9.5 million and faces a potential five-year prison sentence for conspiracy to defraud the IRS.
Anish Pillai and Mou Kundu: Their Guilty Pleas
Anish Pillai previously pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return, admitting to causing tax losses between $1.5 million and $3.5 million to the United States. Similarly, Mou Kundu pleaded guilty to filing false returns, resulting in a loss of between $250,000 and $550,000. Both face maximum penalties of three years in prison for their roles in the fraudulent activities.
