She shared, “During the shoot, Shah Rukh once made a mistake while delivering a dialogue. He immediately apologized to everyone—from the juniors onwards—saying, ‘Because of me, you’ll have to do one more take… sorry.’” This gesture is particularly notable, given the busy and often stressful nature of film sets.

Girija revealed that the shooting conditions were quite challenging; the temperature had to be kept unusually low due to Shah Rukh’s use of a wig. “If the environment wasn’t cold enough, he would sweat excessively because of the wig. But this meant the rest of us were freezing. Once the shot was ready, everyone would remove their jackets and prepare for the scene,” she explained.

When a retake was necessary due to his error, Shah Rukh again took responsibility and expressed his regret regardless of the conditions. “He looked at everyone and genuinely said, ‘I am really sorry.’ A star of his stature didn’t need to do that, but he did,” Girija remarked, highlighting his sensitivity toward the cast and crew.

Another memorable experience Girija shared was during a celebration for director Atlee’s birthday in Chennai. She recalled, “When we were leaving, Shah Rukh sir asked us how we were getting there. When we told him we’d be taking the production car, he arranged for one vehicle from his security convoy to follow us all the way to the hotel.”

According to Girija, Shah Rukh’s security team ensured their safety until they entered the hotel lift. “They wished us good night and left only after making sure we were safe,” she said, underscoring the actor’s thoughtfulness and commitment to his co-stars outside of the limelight.
