    DIBRUGARH: Reports surface of gunshots fired near the paternal residence of militant group ULFA(I) chief Paresh Baruah in Assam‘s Dibrugarh district. This alarming incident was reported by his family on Monday.

    Eyewitness Account

    According to Bimal Baruah, Paresh Baruah’s brother, two rounds of blank fire were heard after midnight near their home in Jerai Gaon. However, he claimed that nothing was captured on CCTV footage. “Someone appears to want to create law and order issues through such actions,” he stated.

    Police Investigation Initiated

    In response to the incident, the Chabura police station has been informed, and an investigation is now underway.
