The Passing of Dharmendra: A Time for Reflection

After the beloved Hindi cinema icon Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, fans and family were left grieving. The legend’s legacy was honored through two separate prayer meetings, which sparked discussions about potential family discord.

Separate Prayer Meetings: A Personal Matter

Initially, Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, along with their children—Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Ajeita Deol, and Vijeta Deol—organized a prayer gathering in Mumbai. In contrast, his second wife, Hema Malini, and their daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, were notably absent.

Subsequently, Hema Malini hosted her own prayer meetings in Mumbai, Delhi, and Mathura, further fueling speculation about a rift within the family. However, she has publicly dismissed these claims.

    Hema Malini Clarifies the Situation

In an interview with , Hema Malini stated, “Yeh humare ghar ka personal mamla hai (This is our family and personal matter).” She elaborated, saying, “We talked to each other. I kept one prayer meet at my home because my group of people are different. Then, I kept one in Delhi because I am in politics, and it was important for me to hold a prayer meeting there for my friends from that field.”

She further explained, “Mathura is my constituency, and the people there are mad about him. So, I kept a prayer meeting there as well. I am happy with what I did.”

Remembering Dharmendra: A Legend’s Final Days
