IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants Set to Face Royal Challengers Bengaluru

    Upcoming Match Details

NEW DELHI: After a disappointing home defeat to the Gujarat Titans, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are gearing up to take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru this Wednesday. Currently, LSG sits sixth on the points table, having secured two wins alongside two losses from their first four matches.

Recap of Previous Match Against Gujarat Titans

In their last outing, the Lucknow Super Giants scored 164 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing a target of 165, the Gujarat Titans comfortably achieved 165 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets in 18.4 overs, securing a convincing victory at the Ekana Stadium on Sunday.

    Arjun Tendulkar Spotted with Family

Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, did not participate in the match against Gujarat Titans. However, he was spotted at the airport with his LSG teammates, including his sister Sara Tendulkar and wife Saaniya Chandhok. Notably, both Sara and Saaniya were seen cheering for LSG from the stands during the match against the Titans.

    Wedding of Arjun Tendulkar

Arjun tied the knot with Saaniya in a grand ceremony held in Mumbai on March 5, 2026. He is a part of the Lucknow Super Giants squad this season, having been acquired for ₹30 lakh during the IPL 2026 auction.

Captain Rishabh Pant Reflects on the Team’s Performance

After the loss to Gujarat Titans, LSG captain Rishabh Pant admitted that their batting fell short of expectations. "We definitely didn’t score enough runs. In a wicket like this, a score of 170 to 180 is really good," Pant stated. He emphasized that the opposing team bowled well and applied pressure, leading to the fall of crucial wickets.

    Missed Opportunities

Pant acknowledged that while there were opportunities for LSG to seize control of the game, they couldn’t capitalize on key moments, remarking, "We just couldn’t grab it enough." Despite the setbacks, he remained optimistic about the team’s prospects.

    Looking Ahead

Looking forward, Pant expressed confidence in his batting unit despite the team’s early struggles in the tournament. He noted that it’s vital for seasoned players to rise to the occasion, adding, "The tournament has just started. We’re not putting pressure on the players because the senior guys know what to do."
