After ‘Dhurandhar’ shattered box office records, many expected Ranveer Singh to be everywhere. However, he chose to take a step back. Even with the film’s tremendous success, the actor remains low-key, avoiding appearances, posts, and public events.

Surprisingly, Ranveer made a single update on his Instagram stories featuring a poignant movie dialogue: “Kismat ki ek bohut khoobsurat aadat hai, ki woh waqt aane par badalti hai… Lekin filhal… Nazar aur sabr.”
Promotion Encounters
Varinder Chawla, a paparazzi photographer who frequently crossed paths with Ranveer during promotions, shared insights into the actor’s mindset. At a Hindi Rush roundtable, Chawla recalled how Singh repeatedly emphasized his hard work, stating, “Dhurandhar is quite new, so I remember this very clearly. During the promotions, I met Ranveer Singh twice, and he told me, ‘Paaji, maine bahaut mehnat ki hai ispe’ (Brother, I have worked very hard on this film).”
Hard Work on Display
Chawla further explained how this dedication was evident in Singh’s performance. “Ranveer told me he gained 15 kilos for the role and then lost it. After watching the film, I could feel the hard work put in by every single person involved,” he stated. He mentioned messaging Ranveer right after the screening, saying, “I really enjoyed the movie,” to which Ranveer responded, “Maine bahut mehnat ki hai (I have worked very hard for this film).”
Unfair Criticism
Chawla also addressed the unfair criticism actors often face. “When someone puts in so much effort and keeps emphasizing their hard work, it’s disheartening to see them receive negative comments from people harboring personal grudges against them.”
