Actor and singer Nana, formerly of the K-pop group After School, is in the spotlight due to an unusual legal battle. The star, who recently made headlines after a man broke into her residence and threatened both her and her mother, is now facing a lawsuit from the same individual, who claims he is a victim of ‘attempted murder’.

Investigation Outcomes

Following an investigation by the police, it was concluded that Nana’s actions in defending herself during the burglary were justified as self-defense. However, the man identified as ‘A’ has filed a separate lawsuit, as reported by her agency, Sublime.

Details of the Incident

According to the singer’s agency, the intruder, referred to as ‘A’, alleges that he sustained injuries while being restrained during the incident that occurred on November 15 at 6 AM. The police report indicated that he entered Nana’s home through the balcony and assaulted her mother. Following a physical confrontation, Nana successfully restrained the intruder and contacted law enforcement, who then took him to a hospital for treatment of a jaw injury.

Intruder’s Claims and Contradictions

The intruder initially confessed to his crimes but later reversed his statement during police questioning, asserting that he “did not possess a weapon at the time of the crime nor did he inflict injuries on the victims”. Notably, Nana, who holds a fourth-degree black belt in Taekwondo, sustained injuries during this struggle as well.

Nana’s Agency Responds

Sublime, Nana’s agency, has firmly denied the intruder’s allegations, stating, “‘A’ is causing secondary harm through inhumane acts, exploiting the fact that the victim is a public figure.” They highlighted that both Nana and her family continue to endure physical and emotional distress from the incident and confirmed that they will pursue all legal avenues necessary to defend Nana.
