Women competitors faced even longer delays, as there was still no clarity on the start time for their bouts by 8 PM. The assembly of the third ring remained incomplete, and athletes were left frustrated without official communication.

Reports indicated that the delay primarily stemmed from restricted access to Gautam Budh University, the competition venue. The gates were reportedly locked overnight, preventing organizers from setting up the rings and equipment on time.

Sources familiar with the situation revealed that payment-related issues contributed to the delay. It was only after payment to the vendor was made that work began, complicating an already challenging situation.

Pramod Kumar, secretary general of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI), acknowledged the delays were due to logistical problems but did not elaborate further. Concerns remain about how these issues could impact the reputation of the national championships.
