Staff Product Designer Role

Your Impact as a Staff Product Designer

As a Staff Product Designer on the Ads UX team, you will shape the strategic vision and lead the design of innovative, user-friendly tools. These tools empower advertisers to create, optimize, and monitor their ad campaigns effectively on Reddit. Your expertise will influence the overall design direction of Reddit’s Ads Manager and help advance AI-driven automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the Design Roadmap: Ensure individual features integrate into a cohesive ecosystem for advertisers.
• Architect Foundational Design Patterns: Create workflows (e.g., campaign builders, reporting dashboards) to ensure consistency and speed.
• Bridge Communication: Act as the primary liaison with Engineering and Product for technical initiatives, translating complex backend constraints into intuitive user experiences.
• Lead by Example: Conduct design reviews that elevate the output of Senior and Mid-level designers and set high-quality benchmarks.
• Drive Alignment: Work with Product, Engineering, and Sales pods to unify competing requirements into a singular design vision.
• Mentor and Inspire: Provide actionable feedback to foster growth within the Ads Design team and promote a culture of high performance.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in product design with a focus on complex enterprise systems, including 3+ years in Ads, FinTech, or Marketplace systems.
• Portfolio: Showcase scalable design frameworks that enhance team efficiency and consistency.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to transform vague business goals into executable design strategies.
• Documentation Skills: Proficient in capturing complex interactions and using prototypes for hypothesis testing.
• Collaboration: Experience working with Product and Engineering Leads to align design direction with organizational goals.
• Mentorship Experience: Proven track record in guiding and elevating the skills of other designers.

Pay Transparency

This job posting may encompass multiple career levels. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units, and may also receive commission. Reddit offers a broad range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with generous vacation policies. The base pay range for this role is $194,600 – $272,400 USD.
