Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative for a full-time, field-based role. This position focuses on generating new inspection and service business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and promoting effective fire protection solutions.
The ideal candidate should have a background in fire protection sales or life safety services, a solid understanding of inspection and compliance requirements for fire systems, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities throughout all stages of the sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility owners, and regional contacts.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities for inspection, service, and maintenance contracts.
- Sales Management: Manage and track all sales opportunities through the pipeline—from lead generation to close—ensuring consistent follow-up and accurate forecasting.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present professional quotes and proposals aligned with NFPA standards and pricing guidelines.
- Compliance Follow-Up: Follow up on open quotes and inspection reports to help customers maintain compliance.
- Collaborative Efforts: Collaborate with operations and other sales associates to ensure smooth project scheduling and customer satisfaction.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Professional Representation: Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in fire protection, life safety, or related industries.
- Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of fire protection systems (sprinklers, extinguishers, alarms, hydrants, backflows) preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and sales pipelines simultaneously.
- CRM Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software and pipeline management tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of NFPA codes and inspection/service compliance requirements is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required.
