Overview of the Position

We are searching for skilled linguists who specialize in translating from English to Chinese (Simplified) to become part of our expanding team. This role supports one of our prominent global clients in the music streaming industry, which offers key entertainment services, including music streaming and podcasts. The selected candidates will take ownership of their work and actively contribute to the success of the program.

Key Responsibilities

Translation and Review

• Translate and Review: Accurately translate and review content from English to Chinese (Simplified), ensuring the original meaning is clearly conveyed and understood by the target audience.

• Content Types: Focus on various content types including Marketing, Product, and Support materials.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Experience and Expertise

• Minimum Experience: At least 3 years of experience in translating and reviewing content in the specified subject matter.

• Proficiency in Tools: Familiarity with various translation and terminology tools is crucial.

Communication Skills

• English Proficiency: Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written) are required.

• Native Fluency: Must possess native fluency in Chinese (Simplified).

Educational Background

• Relevant Degree: A degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Additional Competencies

• Instruction Compliance: Ability to follow specific instructions, including character restrictions.

• Communication of Rationale: Capable of effectively communicating the reasoning behind translation choices.

• Dual Functionality: Able to perform both translation and review tasks proficiently.

• Multi-Vendor Experience: Experience working in a multi-vendor environment is a plus.
