Overview of the Implementation Manager Role

The role of the Implementation Manager is primarily client-focused and reports directly to the Director of Project Implementation. This position is responsible for executing Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation projects of varying sizes and complexities for warehouse clients around the globe.

Working collaboratively with the Project Manager, Scrum Master, and the Director of Project Implementation, the Implementation Manager will engage with an Agile delivery team to provide effective solutions to clients.

• You have skills in the development and testing of WMS software features.
• You can develop warehouse software reports and system features.
• You have experience in warehousing and logistics functions such as shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

This role is remote-hybrid, requiring frequent travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirement discovery and facilitate solutions design.
• Train clients and serve as a customer liaison for concerns and strategic solutions.
• Add detail to Product Backlog items, enabling Technical Associates to deliver with confidence.
• Oversee technical solutions provided by the Technical Associates.
• Test technical solutions in the customer environment, ensuring successful Go Live either on-site or remotely.
• Assign tasks and provide training to Technical Associates.
• Consult with clients to advise on best practices and efficiencies.
• Assist the Director and other departments with process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all project artifacts are stored in the DevOps project for clients.
• Potentially act as the Product Owner for specific Client Delivery Teams.
• Work toward specializing in clients from specific industries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience implementing WMS, TMS, or other Supply Chain-related software.
• Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with team members and clients.
• Experience in the warehousing industry.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Expertise in Requirement Effort Analysis, Technical Solution Analysis, and Business Process Analysis.
• Competence in conducting Gap Analysis and Quality Control.
• Experience in Client Training and Project Time-Tracking.
• Familiarity with technologies such as SQL, SQL Report Services, Workflow, XML, Technical Documentation, and Microsoft Office.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject or 7+ years of experience managing software implementation.
• Superior communication skills, capable of clear and concise verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time during employment.

Salary range: $100k to $140k base plus bonus opportunities, depending on experience and skill set.
