Position: Technical Game Designer
Location: Remote – US and Canada Only

Our team is in search of a talented designer-programmer hybrid to collaborate with both engineering and design teams. The primary goal of this role is to enhance core gameplay and develop technical systems and tools that promote rich feedback and player immersion, which are the hallmarks of our games.
Typical Responsibilities
In this role, a typical week may involve attending design meetings to identify the need for new features, such as a camera enhancement for an upcoming content release. You will program the feature, test it within the level editor, and refine its implementation. Additionally, you will work on improving the toolset in the level editor, empowering the design team to leverage your new feature in future levels. This role extends beyond camera features; feel free to explore any interactive system including procedural animation, cloth simulation, player controls, AI creatures, and NPC interactions!
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical systems that support gameplay, either individually or in small teams.
- Create fluid user interactions with rich feedback and polished game mechanics.
- Improve the creative pipeline to empower team members.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration comfortably.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proficient in C, C#, or C++ for efficient prototyping of 3D gameplay.
- Experience with visual scripting.
- Knowledge in multiplayer game development.
- Familiarity with online operation of live games.
- Proficient in Maya or 3D game engines.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $57,000 USD and $120,000 USD annually, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is an estimate, and actual salaries may vary based on our compensation practices. Employees in this role will also be eligible for our standard employee benefit programs, which include medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off.
