Role Overview: Senior Communications Manager

As the Senior Communications Manager, you will lead Ambience’s external communications strategy. This entails managing press relations, narrative development, executive thought leadership, issues management, and regulatory communications. You will bring clarity, discipline, and sound judgment to the stories we tell and the challenges we face within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Communications Strategy: Shape narrative development and corporate positioning.
• Engage with Executives: Collaborate with executives to craft thought-leadership platforms and prepare for communications moments.
• Media Strategy Management: Oversee both proactive and reactive media strategies, including pitch development and press outreach.
• Crisis Communications: Manage issues and crisis communications, providing high-judgment guidance.
• Messaging Architecture: Develop consistent messaging frameworks, including corporate narratives and Q&A banks.
• Content Creation: Produce executive-facing content in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Media Training: Develop preparedness systems for media interactions and spokesperson training.
• Amplify Wins: Collaborate with various teams to ensure high-impact moments are effectively communicated.

You possess exceptional narrative clarity and the ability to simplify complex ideas into compelling external stories. Being a composed communicator, you thrive as a thought partner in ambiguous situations, while understanding the media landscape and effectively shaping stories for maximum impact.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience leading communications for high-growth digital health or enterprise SaaS companies.
• Established relationships in healthcare tech, business, or AI-focused media.
• Experience with regulatory, compliance, or clinical communications.
• Track record of securing Tier 1 media coverage.
• Expertise in training executives or building spokesperson programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The base compensation for this role ranges from $165,000 to $185,000 USD per year, excluding equity or bonus targets. At Ambience, we emphasize flexibility in the cash/equity mix, leaning towards generous equity grants so that our team can share in the impact we create.
