Role Overview

We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Data DevOps Engineer who specializes in architecting scalable data infrastructure, spearheading technical initiatives, and mentoring engineering teams. This pivotal role places you at the forefront of our data transformation, allowing you to influence strategic technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Architect and Design: Lead the development of complex, enterprise-scale data pipelines utilizing Airflow, DBT, and Databricks.
• Performance Optimization: Define and implement strategies for optimizing performance in real-time and batch processing scenarios.
• AWS Infrastructure: Design and optimize data infrastructure on AWS, incorporating services such as S3, Lambda, and Snowflake.
• Best Practices: Establish and uphold best practices for secure, cost-efficient, and scalable data processing.
• ML Environment: Design and optimize AWS SageMaker environments to enhance performance for machine learning teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with ML, Data Science, and Reporting teams to shape our data strategy and ensure seamless data accessibility.
• Monitoring and Alerts: Implement comprehensive frameworks for monitoring, alerting, and logging to proactively manage data performance and failures.
• Automation Solutions: Develop automation solutions focusing on data quality, lineage tracking, and schema evolution management.
• Incident Response: Lead efforts for incident response, conducting troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical data issues.
• Best Practices Advocacy: Evolve and champion Data DevOps best practices, driving scalability, reproducibility, and automation organization-wide.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Documentation and Standards: Establish technical standards and document complex infrastructure patterns and operational procedures.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend new technologies and tools to advance our data infrastructure and workflows.
