The Role: Senior Product Designer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Designer with substantial experience in finance, asset management, or wealth technology to join our Investment Analytics team. In this pivotal role, you’ll shape the future of investment analytics by infusing clarity, elegance, and deep user empathy into our complex financial data visualizations and workflows. We seek a proactive self-starter who not only delivers outstanding designs but also becomes a thought leader and strategic partner in the investment management domain.

You’ll report directly to the Director of Product Design for Investment Analytics and Trading.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all design aspects of projects from inception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional agile teams to create cohesive product experiences.
• Elevate Addepar’s product experience through exceptional interaction design and data visualization.
• Navigate ambiguity and implement 0-1 thinking to transform new concepts into successful executions.
• Utilize user research and data to inform design concepts, influencing product strategies and roadmaps.
• Contribute to the growth and evolution of the Addepar Product Language design system.
• Collaborate with Investment Researchers, Product Managers, fellow Designers, UX Researchers, and Engineers to develop best-in-class solutions that address client challenges.
• Actively seek and embrace feedback from peers and provide constructive input to mentor other designers.

Who You Are

• You possess at least 7 years of experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, or UX Design, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
• You are an expert in the Investment Management sector, with hands-on experience in areas such as asset management, wealth management, or institutional finance.
• Proven experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise products, with a focus on creating sophisticated web products and user interfaces (UI) tailored for enterprise users.
• Your portfolio showcases a commitment to user-centered design principles and a high level of craftsmanship.
• You have a passion for translating complex use cases into scalable, effective design solutions, especially involving complex data.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills enable you to be a strong partner across functions.
• You thrive in fast-paced, agile environments as a self-starter and dedicated team player.
• A meticulous eye for consistency and a commitment to high-quality deliverables are key strengths.
• Proficiency in Figma, our primary design tool, is essential.
