Meet the Team

Are you passionate about creating web applications and scalable design? Join our Global Web Platform team, responsible for building, supporting, and managing Dexcom’s digital presence, including marketing websites, customer profiles, and eCommerce solutions. Collaborate with cutting-edge web technology to deliver solutions that scale globally.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled Web Developer to join our web applications group within the global IT organization. Your key tasks will include:

• Developing and deploying components within our headless ecosystem that supports customer-facing websites.
• Utilizing agile methodologies to deliver new features continuously.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance applications in headless architecture.
• Serving as a senior point of contact for team members, managing development tasks, and conducting pair programming sessions.
• Analyzing existing web components for improvements, ensuring design and coding standards meet expectations.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum of 5 years of web development experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.
• Strong JavaScript skills and knowledge of Next.js, NPM, and Node.js.
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and RESTful APIs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across various teams.

Desirable Skills

Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and serverless applications.
• Understanding of Next.js static generation (SSG/ISR) and Amplience CMS.
• Familiarity with eCommerce development and CommerceTools integrations.

Travel Requirements and Educational Background

Experience and Education

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2-5 years of experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience.

Remote Work Environment

This position will be based from your home office, with no requirement to live within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120 km). If you reside within commuting distance, a hybrid working arrangement may be available—ask about our Flex workplace option.
