New Delhi: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has officially launched the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections, which are set to take place across all 234 constituencies in the state. The vote counting will be conducted on May 4, 2024.

• Monthly Assistance: ₹2,500 monthly aid for women.
• Marriage Assistance: Provision of 8 grams of gold for marriage purposes.
• Loans for Self-Help Groups: Interest-free loans up to ₹5 lakh for women-run Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
• Support Against Dropouts: ₹15,000 annually to prevent school dropouts, particularly in vulnerable areas.

Agricultural Support

• Crop Loan Waiver: A 50% waiver on agricultural cooperative crop loans for farmers owning more than 5 acres of land.
• Minimum Support Price (MSP): Setting the MSP at ₹3,500 per quintal for paddy and ₹4,500 per ton for sugarcane.

Employment Initiatives

• Aid for Unemployed Graduates: Up to ₹4,000 per month will be provided to unemployed graduates.
• Internship Opportunities: Creation of 500,000 internships with stipends and an equivalent number of new government jobs.

• Pension Scheme: ₹3,000 monthly pension for the elderly and differently-abled individuals.
• Free Power: Provision of 200 units of free electricity per family.

In adherence to Election Commission guidelines, TVK general secretary N Anand announced that attendance at the manifesto launch event would be limited to 800 authorized personnel. Entry will require specific QR code passes, with no unauthorized individuals permitted.

Public Health Advisory

To ensure safety, individuals such as pregnant women, children, students, senior citizens, the differently-abled, and those with health issues are advised to avoid attending in person.
