Concierge Responsibilities

We specialize in providing travel assistance, with our Concierges primarily dedicated to helping travelers during off-hours when the travel planning office is closed.

Shift Timings

We’re seeking individuals with availability to cover at least two of the following Weekday Overnight and/or Weekend Daytime shifts regularly. Additional shifts may be available based on operational needs and team coverage.

Weekday Overnight Shifts

  • Tuesday – 7 PM to 3 AM New York Time

  • Wednesday – 7 PM to 3 AM New York Time

  • Thursday – 7 PM to 3 AM New York Time

  • Friday – 7 PM to 3 AM New York Time

(Ideal for those based in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, or East Asia.)

Weekend Daytime Shifts

We seek individuals passionate about assisting stranded travelers in reaching their destinations. You’ll thrive on working with people, understanding their needs, and anticipating what they might require, even if they’re unsure themselves!

Compensation

Compensation will be an hourly rate based on experience and location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Concierges are responsible for addressing urgent inquiries and assisting travelers who are stranded overnight. Email and phone systems are set up to alert us if there’s an issue, along with other notifications.

  • Some urgent queries may need quick responses (e.g., minor delays). Others may involve finding new flight options for cancellations or missed connections, typically handled in the Sabre GDS.

  • Available to take urgent calls and provide help as required; not all urgent inquiries will end up being urgent!

  • Prepare and send flight updates.

  • Assist with processing refunds, filing for compensation, and handling other pre- and post-travel requirements as needed.

  • When time allows, assist with travel planning, including searching for and booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and transfers. Primarily email communication but may involve phone calls.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Reliability: Must be available and able to assist within 10 minutes of any alert notification.

  • Language Proficiency: Native written and verbal proficiency in English.

  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of airline networks to quickly find alternatives for stranded clients.

  • GDS Knowledge: Familiarity with Sabre or other GDS/ARS is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Attention to Detail: Timing and accuracy are crucial in this role.

  • Common Sense: Ability to help clients navigate their needs effectively.

  • Self-Sufficiency: Capability to work independently; assistance is always available when needed.

  • Adaptability: Must maintain a calm demeanor, especially when dealing with stressed or upset clients.

  • Background Check: Required, as the job involves handling sensitive client data.

  • Remote Work Setup: Must have your own computer (Windows or Mac), reliable high-speed internet, a smartphone (Android or iPhone), and a quiet work environment for communication.
