Position Overview
The Cyber Security Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining the security posture of VA enterprise systems
- Ensuring compliance with federal and VA security requirements
- Supporting the authorization and risk management of critical VA platforms
Core Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of tasks, including:
- Ongoing vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and remediation in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 standards
- Developing, documenting, and maintaining Assessment & Authorization (A&A) artifacts
- Responding to and analyzing security incidents while ensuring timely notifications to stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and HIPAA
- Coordinating with teams to support the operational deployment of new or updated systems
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in cyber security operations and risk management
- Proficiency in relevant federal cybersecurity standards and practices
- Experience with vulnerability assessments and security control testing
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and ability to work collaboratively with other teams
Preferred Qualifications
Additional skills that would enhance a candidate’s application include:
- Familiarity with VA’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools
- Experience with cloud platform security assurance, specifically FedRAMP compliance
- Advanced knowledge of security and monitoring tools like Jenkins and GitHub
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $103,000 to $118,000, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, Trilogy offers an extensive benefits package:
