Role Overview
As the Head of Design, your role will build upon Jimdo’s robust design foundation while evolving it as we transition into a multiproduct platform with enhanced AI functionalities. Your focus will be on enhancing Product Design, ensuring simplicity, usability, and impressive outcomes for our users.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
Set a clear design direction to elevate product experience quality for solopreneurs and micro-businesses.
Integrate design as a core aspect of defining problems and shaping product strategy.
Advance AI-enabled design practices to optimize speed and outcomes without sacrificing quality.
Manage and evolve the design system in collaboration with Product and Engineering for consistency and innovation.
Oversee the customer experience across all product touchpoints and their lifecycle.
Work closely with Marketing and Brand teams for alignment in product experience and visuals.
Lead, coach, and nurture a senior Product Design team, promoting a culture of quality and innovation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Product and Engineering for effective project execution.
Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience in senior leadership roles leading high-performing design teams.
A strong focus on usability, simplicity, and user-centered design.
A proven track record of evolving design systems and enhancing experience quality across customer journeys.
Hands-on experience in incorporating AI into design workflows for improved outcomes.
Empathy for the challenges faced by small businesses and solopreneurs.
Comfortable navigating across product, brand, content, and lifecycle design.
Strong collaborative and systems-thinking abilities.
A keen eye for quality and aesthetics, with the ability to elevate standards.
Experience in optimizing conversion without compromising usability.
