Why This Role Matters

In this position, you will play a crucial role in advancing Radformation’s AI-driven radiotherapy products. By developing and enhancing machine learning models, you’ll have a direct influence on clinical workflows and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities Include:

• ETL Pipeline Development: Design and maintain robust ETL pipelines for AI model development and deployment.
• Model Optimization: Develop, train, and tune machine learning models for radiotherapy applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product and research teams to introduce new AI-driven features and algorithms.
• Regulatory Support: Contribute to documentation, validation, and FDA submissions for medical device software.
• Cross-Functional Engagement: Participate in design reviews and risk analyses to ensure product safety and effectiveness.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Required Experience

• Educational Background: MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience in building, training, and optimizing machine learning models.
• Framework Knowledge: Strong experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow and development of convolutional neural networks, including U-Net architectures.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and modern code repositories like GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Experience

• Medical Imaging Expertise: Familiarity with techniques like segmentation, resampling, and smoothing.
• Clinical Data Standards: Knowledge of standards such as DICOM or HL7.
• Regulated Environments: Experience in HIPAA, FDA, or medical device software settings.
• AI Development Tools: Experience with AI-assisted tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $160,000 – $200,000 USD base, plus bonus eligibility.
