About the Networks Team

Mission and Responsibilities

The Networks Team is dedicated to ensuring seamless and dependable blockchain connectivity within MetaMask, regardless of the chains in use. This includes overseeing EVM and non-EVM network connectivity, network switching, chain discovery, RPC configuration, and performance reliability.

Role of Staff Product Manager

As a Staff Product Manager, you will be responsible for the strategy and execution of MetaMask’s network layer—a crucial aspect of the wallet’s functionality. Your role includes scaling MetaMask across emerging EVM chains and significant non-EVM ecosystems, ensuring network expansion aligns with the broader product and business strategy.

High-Impact Responsibilities

Core Duties

• End-to-End Network Experience: Manage network switching, chain discovery, custom networks, RPC configuration, and L2 support for both MetaMask Extension and Mobile.
• Strategic Development: Define and drive the long-term strategy for network connectivity across ecosystems while ensuring alignment with MetaMask’s product goals.
• User-Centric Improvements: Lead efforts to enhance performance, reliability, and user experience by minimizing complexity.
• Emerging Ecosystem Support: Establish criteria and processes for adding new EVM chains and key non-EVM networks efficiently.
• Collaboration Across Teams: Work alongside PMs to ensure the network layer supports seamless user experiences across MetaMask.
• Goal Setting and Metrics: Define clear product goals and metrics, focusing on user experience, technical feasibility, and commercial opportunities.
• Communication of Vision: Clearly articulate product vision and decisions to teams and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years in product management, preferably in consumer apps within crypto or fintech.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to set strategies and drive alignment across multiple teams.
• Product Development: Experience in shipping high-impact consumer products from concept to launch.
• User Empathy: Strong capability to simplify technical complexities into user-friendly experiences.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by building scalable systems.
• Collaboration: Experience working with design and engineering teams to create outstanding user experiences.
• Data-Driven: Skilled in using analytics and A/B testing for product iteration.
