The Role

We seek a Senior Python Engineer with a passion for decentralized finance and autonomous technologies. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in designing and building complex, high-performance systems, and thrives in an environment driven by ownership and technical excellence. Key qualifications include:

• Proficiency in modern Python frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a high-autonomy environment.
• Experience in designing and launching complex, distributed systems or backends.

At Valory, you’ll be at the forefront of DeFi, contributing to the development of BabyDegen, our pioneering on-chain DeFi agent managing digital assets autonomously. If you’re aligned with our values and excited about pushing boundaries in the AI agent field, we want to hear from you!

Main Duties

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in production-level Python (or 2+ years in Python and 2+ years in a compiled language like C++/Go/Rust).
• In-depth knowledge of Python frameworks and modern engineering practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven track record in designing and deploying complex systems.
• Alignment with our core values, including mission-driven work and clarity in communication.
• Interest in AI agents and decentralized systems.
• Bonus: Open-source contributions, Web3 experience, or a background in multi-agent systems.

Location

This position offers a hybrid work model, primarily remote with regular in-person team meetups at our London office.
